how do i get my brother to be less violent?

i went to china for 2 months and wen i got home my brother was (heavyy!!) and violent. so, i was just sitting there on the laptop today and my brother takes a baseball bat (toy, he’s five years old) and strikes me. I get pretty angry and strike him back with a toy sword (MADE OF THAT SOFT THING THAT YOU MAKE NOODLES WITH [for the pool]). then, he scratches me and i still have two long gashes from where he scratched me starting to swell. GRRR. :[ how do i make him less violent? oh yeah, and hes really demanding too. he doesnt do anything by himself. he’s all like, do this! do that! and since i refuse my grandmother always does it. and i tell her not to, since he has to learn to be independent….
but still. goshhh what an annoying little brother. how do i make him better!!!

little brothers are always annoying!!! is he acting like that because he wants you to play with him and you wont?? i guess when he isnt hurting you you can pay more attention to him and when he starts to act up tell him u dont like him when he is like that maybe then he will get the picture. but remember he is 5 years old and he really doesnt know any better!!! but if being violent is the only way you r paying attention to him thats all he going to do. i have a kid brother and he was annoying for a long time!!! but he changed with age GOOD LUCK
